Swimming Lessons
Our little Macy has become quite the swimmer this year. She started out with her little floaties a couple months ago and did pretty well but a couple weeks ago while we were in California we convinced her that she could swim without (it was an actual oops moment as I forgot them). Since, she has been slowly becoming more brave with her swimming and started swimming lessons two weeks ago and has become quite the little swimmer. She doesn't use her floaties at all anymore and is determined to become a better swimmer than her cousin, Lucy. She was out in the pool with Tim today, which he was swimming laps, and can swim the width of the pool, go off the diving board, the rope swing, and jumps a far distance off the side of the pool and swims over to the edge. We are hoping that she can continue swimming lessons again for the next two weeks in the next class, Sea Otters. We're quite proud of our little swimmer girl and her progress over the past two weeks.
She does a great job swimming without putting her face in the water but is slowly become more comfortable getting her face wet. She holds her breath and goes under to pick something up out of the shallow end but doesn't like to put her face under to swim. She jumps off the edge of the pool without hesitation and loves the water in any form.
