Arizona Mission of Mercy

This year, we added a new addition to our Mission of Mercy team: SARAH!

More exciting still, she has decided she wants to be a dental hygienist.

We had such a rewarding time treating people (and speaking Spanish with Sarah whenever possible). We again signed up for oral surgery, and were on pace for our goal of 30 extractions in the day... until... We ran out of patients.  Apparently, they starting turning patients away at 10:30 that morning, thinking we were too full to see any more.  All the patients we saw had been waiting since 4am or so and some even waited over night.  Well, it was a mistake to turn patients away... I guess they didn't realize the ultra productive Schmidt crew was coming.
