Ouch!

Our little Syd is a crazy kid sometimes and loves to jump and climb and destroy.  Just the other day she took the cushions off the couch and laid them on top of the coffee table thinking that they would be fun to jump on.  The last time that she did, she ended up bashing her two front teeth on the edge of the coffee table resulting in a lot of blood and screams.

Scared out of my mind for her little teeth, I tried calling Tim multiple times before giving in and calling the girls at his office in Scottsdale to get a hold of him.  Trying to explain to him what happened while trying to get some good advice on what to do with my screaming two year old was exciting.  Tim didn't know what to tell us about her teeth other than to try and take a picture of them and he would just have to look at them when he got home. Syd wasn't very cooperative and the pictures look nasty but she banged her front two teeth really hard and ended up pushing them up and in towards her tongue and turning them a little sideways.

Tim tried to put them back when he got home and we put Syd on an all liquid diet for the next few days while we decided what to do.

Monday morning we took a visit to Tim's office to take an x-ray of her teeth to see if they had fractured off or what they looked like on the inside.

Turns out that Tim got them in fairly good shape after the accident and her teeth were whole. Lucky for us!

We still don't know what will happen as one of her teeth is starting to turn gray but as for now there is no infection and they seem to be settling back in.  We're hopefully that they stay that way or otherwise Tim will have to pull her front teeth.  This is definitely one of those times we're grateful to have a dentist in the family!
