Christmas in Boise

To help split up our moving... or as Tim would call it our relocation vacation, we decided to spend a week in Boise before continuing on to Mesa.  The drive from Moses Lake to Boise was still a good six hours but was by far the shortest part of our drive.

The girls spent a solid week in Boise with my parents before Tim and I arrived, making our transition even smoother. The girls spent lots of time with Parker's little zoo in and particularly loved the bird!  Syd kept taking someone in there to see all of his animals. 

One highlight of our week for the girlies, was a trip to Build A Bear for a new stuffed animal from papa and grammy. 

Syd got a cute tiger and Macy got a penguin named Laugh, Laugh. 

Christmas Eve came quickly and we celebrated with great food, christmas lights, and a special delivery of Christmas Jammies.  Macy had a blast this year with Christmas. She has been really into the presents and kept asking if she could have more christmas presents. On Christmas Eve, great grammy and papa Jones came over with Rod and Dixie's families for dinner and christmas lights. My parents had the shop decorated previously from their annual ice cream feast and the girls were in heaven going out to the shop at any time of day or night to have ice cream.

Syd even liked drinking her ice cream with a straw out of her ice cream cone. 

After dinner we took a drive to the old state penitentiary for their christmas light show.  They decorated the botanical garden with tons of lights and we spent a good hour walking through the paths and enjoying the sights.  It was an awesome way to get all of our lights in in one place. 

After getting back to my parents house, the girls got to open their first christmas present and came out dressed in cute little jammies, complete with matching bunny slippers that made them go hop, hop. 

Christmas morning was exciting and the girls were in heaven.  Syd kept putting on her all of her presents and ended up wearing her super hero cape and mask and then put on her backpack.  This went on and on until she could hardly walk around anymore.  

We had an awesome Christmas complete with a fun little scavenger hunt for the girl's best present... fun scooters to ride around.
