4 Months

Sydney turned four months about a week ago but I've been busy with tons and tons of things and now just getting around to it.

Sydney is growing like a little weed. I like to call her my little chunky monkey now because she keeps getting chubbier. It's adorable. I love the little rolls on her thighs and wrist.

She weighed in at 15 lbs 1 oz  (50 to 75 %) at her fourth month checkup and measured 24 (25 to 50%)  inches long with a head circumference of 42 cm.

We are just in love with our little girl. She hasn't quite mastered the art of rolling over yet but gets up on her side pretty well. She loves  to lay on the floor and play but her favorite thing of all is to jump in the jumperoo.

Syd just started sleeping through the night two weeks ago (which is AMAZING) and has started taking regular naps during the day as well. I usually get an hour or so nap in the morning and then an even better one in the afternoon (Two to four hours). It's fantastic.  She loves to smile and giggle. She loves to spend time with Macy and gives Macy some of the best smiles she has.

She wasn't too happy that we were taking her picture.
Macy of course had to be in on the photo shoot.

I tried to take a a family picture. It didn't work out so well.
This one was better as long as you don't count t he girls. It's so hard to get two little kids to look at a camera.

Potty Time

After months  and months of talking to Macy about going pee pee in the toilet we had our first  successful pee pee yesterday!!!! We cheered, put a sticker on her sticker chart, and treated her to a sucker for her wonderous occasion. It was fantastic.... just we haven't had any luck since... Maybe tomorrow.

Kite Boarding

Tim hasn't had a chance to take his kiteboard out in a while so with the perfect wind yesterday... it was a great opportunity. It was slow going with figuring out the wind and the board but he had a semi-successful attempt.

4th Of July

Tim got a text message the day before the 4th of July from the missionaries in our ward wondering if we wanted to join them for a BBQ for the 4th with a few of the people in our ward...After a brief discussion with them it was decided that we'd throw a fun BBQ to help them out. It turned out to be one of the best 4th that we've had. Dinner was great and the company even better.

The big group. Elder Grenko - Tim - Sydney - Macy - Brittany - Taylor Petersen - Amanda Petersen - Jade Taylor - Olivia & Halie -  Amanda Perez - Daniel Perez - Avery & Alayna - Elder Bull.
This was Macy's first experience with fireworks and she loved the sparklers. Even got a little wild with the fire.
Apparently fireworks are illegal in our little county here and the cop had to stop and inform us... We thought this was a classic picture with the elders getting in trouble with the cops... Ha Ha Ha.
One of my good buds here has an awesome camera and took all of the good pictures that I have her. It was fantastic. I just love how her  pictures  turned out. The girls  followed Tim around all night like little  puppy dogs. It was adorable.
Macy getting a little crazy with the sparklers.  I was worried she was going to lite my clothes on fire.
Tim and the girls had a great time shadow dancing.
Syd just loved being held the hold time.
Lighting the tanks off (before  the cop showed up of course).

Of course clothes aren't required when swimming in the pool. At least she kept her diaper on this time.

Arizona Part 1

Well there is lots to say about our trip to Arizona a few weeks ago but  I'm going to take it a few posts at a time.

One of the days we were staying at the cabin up in Payson for the Schmidt Reunion we headed to a nice group camp (where they had a huge open field to play games and a nice swimming hole.) While the bigkids played games in the field some of us took the kids to the swimming hole. Macy had a blast swimming with her cousins.

She started out on dry ground... just playing with a few rocks.
Kyra joined her in the rock throwing.
Meanwhile the rest of the cousins thought they'd take a dip in the water.

After getting bored with the rock throwing Macy decided to undress herself and get in the water. She thought it was heaven.

Sleeping... Finally

I expected this day to come a lot sooner but every kid is different and it has taken Sydney a lot longer to get here than Macy. I'm proud to say that we have now had two successful nights of Sydney 1. Sleeping in the crib (in Macy's room) and 2. (more excitingly) sleeping through the night. Just last night she gave me 10 sweet hours of peaceful, uninterrupted sleep. It was fantastic!

So, dear child of mine you will make me a very happy momma if you keep up this great work.

Friends

Macy is becoming a great big sister. She loves to take care of Sydney. Just this past Sunday we were at a baptism for a little boy in our ward and someone was holding Syd for us. A few minutes later Macy realized that the baby (as Macy calls her) wasn't in her carseat anymore and got quite concerned. She kept saying "daddy, where's my baby?" Until she could see baby a few rows back safe and sound.

Macy is always helping me out. She loves to help hold sissy's bottle in the car and bring her toys while she is laying on the floor. Just as long as we don't give Syd anything of Macy's she is great.

Girls!

Just a couple of pictures of the girls. I have a bunch of updating to do but not yet. So in the meantime enjoy some cuteness.
