Easter

We had a fun Easter with our friends.  The Hales invited us to join them for an Easter Egg Hunt at a local church who did an egg drop from a helicopter.  We weren't quite quick enough to catch many eggs there but we decided to hide some at the Hales home afterward.  The girls had a great time with their friends and loved it even more than the church.

Sunday morning the girls woke up to the Easter Bunny and had another fun easter egg hunt.   The Easter Bunny even brought the girls new swimsuits. How perfect for Arizona Summers.

Dying Easter Eggs

Easter isn't complete without the dying of Easter Eggs.  We've been so behind this year that we tried to cram everything in together.  Since we had such a fun time with our friends, we hurried home and dyed eggs before the girls went to bed.  They didn't care, they just love having fun together as a family.

Mud-A-Thon

Kels and I decided two weeks ago that we were going to run a 5-mile Mud-A-Thon.  Great idea, right?  We made awesome TOUGH SCHMIDT shirts and ran quite a bit.  It was awesome.
Saturday morning comes and the weather took a turn for the worst.  It was 50 degrees, rainy, windy, and freezing.  We couldn't have picked a worst day to run in some awesome MUD.  We got around mile 3 and the rain started hailing down on us.  Needless to say, we finished strong and ran the whole thing minus waiting in line for the obstacles.
We look tough, right?  We sat there freezing without sweatshirts.
The boys sat here cheering us on at the end and told us to jump as far as we could.  Well we jumped and sank.  This mud was so thick and sticky that we had to pull ourselves up to the top enough to swim and crawl our way to the other side.

The girls hanging out on all the tractors.
Our crew of spectators.  Aren't they just adorable.

Cute Sisters

These two cuties looked just like twinners today.  Love my happy sisters.

Happy 5 Months

We couldn't ask for a much happier girl than Kensie.  She is always smiley and happy and giggling.  She's still a bit of a petite girl (extremely long) but she is starting to get a few rolls around the thighs but she's stinkin' adorable.

Kensie is rolling all over the place and no longer stays in any specific place.  She loves the jumperoo and spends some decent time entertained jumping along.   We are still working on sleeping habits and gets us roughly twice a night but at least she is a happy bumpkin'. We've started a bit of real food with her but she loves that bottle of hers.

Swimming

Reagan and Kelsey came over to visit with us and we had a great day. We went to Kids Club at the Mall and swimming at grammy's house.

The girls decided that they had had enough of their swimsuits and ended up raiding Aunt Sarah's closet for clothes to wear.  They looked amazing in their gangster clothing.  The pool was great, the weather hot, but the water was a little cold.  Yet, the girls didn't care!

Ballerina Girls

All dressed up and ready to go to dance class.
Macy added a few accessories to her dance outfit, included my shoes.
Then she switched to some very stylish socks with some high heels of her own.
And best of all, our little Syd is growing up.  She usually refuses to wear a leotard or put on a dress or skirt of any kind, so I was very pleasantly surprised when she not only wanted to wear a dress to dance class but it was also PINK.

Home Depot

While Tim was at his Dental Convention this weekend, the girls and I went for a little ride between conference sessions and ended up at Home Depot.  We just so happened to be walking by their workshop during the appropriate time and the girls went to town making their little birdhouses.

Cute awesome sisters with their beautiful birdhouses.

Zoo Day

Grandma Peggy took us to the zoo and the botanical gardens and it was wonderful.  The girls enjoyed walking through the butterfly exhibit at the Botanical Gardens and looking at all the different types of cacti.

After the Botanical Gardens, we made our way over to the zoo and had a great picnic lunch.  Macy and Syd took off to play while Peggy and I hung out with Kensie and as we turned around to see the animals, I started looking for Sydney's shoes.  We soon found out that she had let them slip off the bridge and into the giraffe exhibit.  We lucked out and the zookeepers were able to fetch them with a long stick but leave it to our Sydo to toss her shoes to the giraffes.
The girls loved seeing the orangoutangs and the giraffes and all of the animals.

We finished off the day with some delicious gelato.  Thanks for an awesome day Grandma Peggy!

Makeup

Sydney is our exciting, adventurous, and trouble making kiddo.  Just the other day I found her putting on mommy's makeup to be pretty.  Isn't she just beautiful?

I.D.E.A. Museum

We went to the Kids Museum this afternoon with the Barnett's.  Chambry, Sydney, Beckham, and Macy had a blast playing in the campground in the dark room, making pom pom caterpillars, and running around like crazy.
