While Macy was watching Sesame Street today, I got the chance to actually do something with her hair. It is jsut barely long enough to pull into these pig tails on the sides (as long as the front is clipped back). I think it was so cute.

These pictures were actually taken a few weeks ago but I totally forgot about them. These kids are getting so big. It's crazy! I can just imagine what Macy is thinking in each of them.

While I was over at my sister's house today, we (Courtney and I) were cleaning out the fridge to make room for some yummy oreo truffles that we were taking to my Book Club meeting today, we decided to throw some stuff out including a two-week old cheesecake. It didn't take longer than ten minutes before I turned around to see Macy coming out of the garbage cans with fists and cheeks filled with cheesecake. I didn't know if I should laugh at her or scold her. Too bad I didn't take a picture.

Blog Book:

After about two months of work, my Blog book (I call it more my journal) from 2009 came in the mail today. I am AMAZED!!!!!!! It is like a full on book. I love it. For all of you would like to print out your blog to keep it for memories I whole hearted recommend this program:

It is a little expense but worth-while to me. It is pretty simple to use, just download their program to your computer, download your blog into the program and then I went in and rearranged it (for almost two months but there were a lot of entries). It cost me $60.00 to get my whole book printed (hard-cover with a dust jacket), all almost 200 pages worth. You can change the size of your pictures, add or change your blog entries, and just about anything you can image. (So much better than the book I printed last year.) The only thing I can think of to complain about is that the cover didn't print on the actual book just the dust jacket.

Macy's Favorite Things...

Macy loves to share and one of the things that she shares is her little shape sorter. She also loves to wear it as a hat. It's really cute.

She never likes to be left out and so her good dad and uncle like to set her on the couch with them and let her play WII. She isn't so sure about how the controls work but she gets the basic idea.

One more cute thing: I was giving Tim a pedicure last week (his toe nails were in great need) and Macy came up to me on the couch... She wanted something and I didn't know what it was but decided that hand her a bottle of nail polish thinking it would entertain her for a little bit while I was working on Tim. Not two minutes later she sat down on the floor next me and handed me the bottle back. She wanted her nails painted. I've painted her nails before but it has always been a chore to try and get her to sit still and not get the nail polish everywhere. Not this time... She sat so still for me and when I finished her nails she even wanted her fingernails done. She is going to be such a girlie girl. I love it!

Cute little baby steps...

After hearing stories of how well Macy was walking while we were at the temple yesterday, we finally got her little steps on video. She has been walking with a walker for a while now but is starting to brave up and walk on her own. Although, she still needs a little coaxing from us she has made a lot of progress in the past few days. It's so cute to see her grow.

Medford, Oregon

Last month after waiting for Moses Lake to get back to us, we got a little worried that maybe Tim didn't get the job, so we frantically called all his other contacts to get interviews. In the process he called the Clinic in Medford again (they previously told him that they didn't have any positions available). It wasn't long before arrangements were made for a week long working interview in Medford. It was kind of a vacation for me and Macy. The clinic paid for our week long stay at the Marriot, while our meals and other expenses were covered by NHSC.

It will be tough deciding between Medford, OR and Moses Lake, WA (that is if Tim gets offered the job in Medford) and believe it or not one of the big selling points for Medford is the fact that there is a COSTCO. Medford, sporting a population of about 100,000, is more of a community that we are used to. They have a mall, a temple, and a cute little artsy/hippie town that is constantly putting on plays and other activities (Shakespeare Festival).

Another exciting highlight is that Calie and Anthony are deciding they want to move back to Medford as well. In fact, Tim learned that there may be a second position available at his clinic and now Calie is set to interview there next week. How fun would it be if Calie and Tim worked in the same office?

Macy, my little angel, getting in to all sorts of trouble. After learning how to ride the luggage cart, she thought she was ready to drive the car.

The Medford Temple. It would sure be convienent to have a temple this close.

Although, we won't be able to decide until Medford makes an official offer (in roughly two weeks), it is constantly on our mind.

Girl's Night

With the boys hitting up the bowling alley, we (Calie, Courtney, and I) decided that we also needed a night out on the town. It seems like Calie and I end up going to the Theatre together more then we do with our husbands, but it's always great to get out. Leap Year was great and Calie and I both decided that we need to spend my 30th birthday in Ireland. Thanks girls!

Go Blazers!

After a long Holiday break, it was great to get back together with our great friends and cheer on the Blazers as they rocked the Lakers. The best part about being a Blazer's fan is that they always rock Kobe in the Rose Garden. What a great game! The kids really enjoyed cheering the Blazer's on in their own way as they empty the toy box. This kids are growing so fast and Weston is cruising around town as Macy walks along the couch and Elliot pushes the walker. I still can't believe they are on the toddler stage already. It goes by so fast.

Just a few pics...

Macy and I have been playing around this afternoon and I keep realizing that my little baby isn't such a baby anymore. She is on the toddler phase of life. She is getting so big and I can't believe how much fun she is. She started playing peek-a-boo today and loves to crawl into places that she isn't supposed (like the swing for the little girl that I babysit). It has been a challenge trying to get her to understand that she can't scream whenever she wants something and we are still working on that but overall she is a very happy girl and we just love her!

Christmas At The Jones'

It was our turn to visit Boise for Christmas this year. I love all of the old traditions that are still carried on and can't wait until we start having Christmas on our own to figure out which ones we are going to carry on. Some of my favorites are christmas eve pajamas and the traditional Christmas Story reading. (Tim's family even has the kids dress up and act out the nativity.)

Tim and I got to help my parents play Santa Clause (you would be amazed by how many presents there are for 12 people). We ended up putting some of the smaller ones in the tree to make room.

Macy is always the highlight. Sometimes I think I should feel bad though, people always dress her up all silly, like this ganster hat for instance and all the while she just laughs. They even had her riding Shiba (until Shiba started running away).

We had a fun time bowling. Tim convinced all of the little kids to do their own personal jig everytime that they bowled well. His jig was pretty extravagant and probably shouldn't be repeated in public.

BYU won their bowl game (mostly because of Macy's cheerleading skills)!... Go Cougars!

Macy loved eating "SNICE" as my family called it. (Half snow/half ice). Yum.

A few days after Christmas, we all packed up our stuff and headed for a cabin in Garden Valley. It was great to get away from the everyday grind. The best part was the player piano in the family room. It was all old school with the paper rolls that you had to insert and you could even pedal with your feet if you wanted to. Arlin took us out snowmobiling for a bit. There are only a few things prettier than the fresh snow on the mountain tops.

Maybe it is because I am a first time mother, but I had to make sure that Macy was good and bundled before she headed out to play in the snow. She had a great time "bum sliding" with Aunt Kaytlen.

Tim, my dad, and I all spent New Year's Eve serving dinner and milkshakes to the young single adults at Boise State University. The Milkshake bar was a fantastic idea, which allowed everyone to make their own with a variety of like twenty toppings to choose from. Brillant!

Little Macy wore herself while we were there. She had quite a few rough nights (she only slept through the night twice in the ten days we were gone, spending most of the time she was asleep in Tim's arms) with a snotty nose and yucky cough that made it tough for her to sleep. Macy was even nice enough to share her sickness with both of us. The worst night though was New Year's Eve when she was up seven times before Tim and I got home at two. We even took her to the doctor when we got back to Portland and found out that she has a double ear infection, poor kid.

I almost forgot, we got so many great presents this year and we just can't wait to use them. My two top presents this year, which will get so much use, i'm sure were a pressure cooker (Rice has never tasted so nice) and a Cricut (hurray for making my scrapbooking needs so much easier and allowing me to do vinyl! I'm so excited to make cool projects like this one).

Tim has already made a lot of use of his IPOD touch (so much that I get free reign of the laptop now) and using his labeler to label everything in sight (including Macy's forehead and bum).

Macy has been really enjoying her new magnetic farm that attaches to the fridges and loves to push her stroller around. It was really cute she was even pushing Misha in the little baby basinett the other night.

Seattle, Washington

My cousin, Cami got married the weekend before Christmas in Seattle, Washington. Being the good Aunt and Uncle that my parents are, they made the trek up from Boise and since all my family was going to be there, Courtney and I also made the journey up. We had a great weekend visiting the Seattle Temple (Tim says that I got triple the blessings that day as I went with my siblings to do baptisms in the wee hours of the morning and then with my mom to do initatories before going to the sealing), Pike Place Market (my family has never been before), meeting Ashley's boyfriend, Derek, for the first time, and then up to Port Ludlow to visit my other cousin Audra and her family who were nice enough to let us all (15 of us) stay the night with them.

Prechristmas

We had a little PreChristmas fun with just our family before heading to Idaho. We like to make it seem like are getting a lot for Christmas, so pretty much anything we buy in the month of November/December goes under the tree. It's sure pretty that way. Macy didn't even care that Tim stuck all of the bows all over her and Misha really enjoyed playing in the old wrapping paper. We always find her hiding in random places like that. It really got us in the Christmas mood a week early.
