Syd's six week checkup

Syd had her six week checkup yesterday (a few days early because Dr. Nye is going out of town). She is doing great. She is growing really well and has put on two pounds already. She still gets up two to three times a night to eat but is a pretty relaxed baby. We just love her. She is growing out of her newborn clothes but most 0-3 month are still big. We recently switched her over to formula and it seems to keep her tummy happier. She enjoys playing on her stomach and swinging in her swing (when Macy will leave her alone long enough to actually swing).

Stats:

9 lb. 1.4 oz.(25%)
21-3/4 inches (10 to 25%)

Easter 2011

We had a great Easter with just the four of us. We made all of the traditional easter fixings and have many leftovers still and then spent the night playing games with friends. It was a great day to remember our savior and all that he has done for us.
Moses Lake put on an easter egg hunt down at McCosh Park and Macy did a great job gathering up her eggs.
She caught right on and loved picking up the real boiled eggs and ignored the plastic eggs... little did she know that the plastic ones all had candy in them (she realized that one at home later). But one little girl decided to share with Macy and gave her a couple plastic ones.
Macy loved her easter basket. She took all of the candy out of Mine and Tim's easter baskets and put it in hers.
Look mom, crayons and candy.
Sydney cuddled up to her dress.
Hurray, Sesame Street!
Yummy, Chocolate for breakfast!
Tim and Sydney dressed up in their easter outfits. Syd's little shoes were too big and kept falling off.

She wore herself out with all the excitement and took a long nap on the floor.
Macy decided not to take a nap and we had an easter egg hunt instead.
Macy was a pro after her practice run at the park.

Macy figured out that there was chocolate inside of the eggs and devoured them. (If you look closely you can see all of it on her chin).
The girlies!

The Girl's Room

I finally got the Girl's Room finished. I Love the way it turned out!

Mowing The Lawn

This past Saturday, I decided it was time to start working our poor lawn again. As I pulled out the lawn mower and started mowing the backyard, Macy thought it was the most fantastic thing and spent the rest of the morning pushing her stroller around like a lawn mower, helping me mow the lawn. She's such a good little helper. (Syd helped too by taking a nap in the Baby Bjorne.)

Happy 28th Birthday

Happy Birthday to the love of my life. Tim turned 28 on Saturday!!!
We celebrated with a happy face breakfast in bed

rice krispy treat cake (we did a big Easter dinner the next night and Tim didn't want a fancy cake but banana cream pie for Easter)

and opening his birthday present, a new IPHONE (which he actually got a few weeks before but it's not a birthday unless you get to open some kind of present).

I wish I wouldn't have gotten Macy in this shot not just her hands. She was so excited that she wanted the package... We're going to have a trouble maker on our hands when it comes to electronics.

Tim is a great husband and dad. I love him so much and feel so blessed to have him in our lives. He is an amazing daddy to our girls and we couldn't ask for anyone better. We love you Dr. Timmy!

Book Club

The Beautiful Book Babes (i know it's a mouthful).

Anika Christensen, Kim Bates, Kylene Cardon, Alayna Chivers, Kelley Gubler, Ashley Iverson, Joy Winks, Brittney Anderson, Brittany Schmidt (plus many more who weren't there.... Bailee Bowen, Kisha Chavez, Susan Baker, Meghan Lang, and I'm sure I'm forgetting some).

This is my new book club (don't worry DSW's I still miss you guys). It's a great group of girls mostly from my ward but it is so nice to have a bunch of girlfriends to get together with and just chat. I love that people still come even if they haven't read the book. I love these Girls! They have made our transition into Moses Lake so much better. I'm very grateful for these girls!!!! and I'm sad that we've already lost a couple of these girls as they've moved. We'll miss you Kylene.

Macy

I feel like Macy has been left out a little bit lately as we've been adjusting to Sydney in our lives. So, here is a little update on Macy.

One day while we were changing Syd's diaper, Macy wanted to be a baby so Tim gave her a binky and used a burp rag as a diaper for her. She's really silly.

Macy's version of helping. She thought she was helping cleaning the fridge well, at least she reorganized it all for me.

Macy and Tim get to spend quite a bit of time together when he's home in the evening. This particular night, he pulled out his new toy and was watching songs from Sesame Street on it. It was really cute. They were both singing along.

Macy is queen of the boo boos now. If she even so much as gets a scratch she comes running to us and says Boo, Boo and wants us to kiss it all better.

Macy is also getting really good at talking. She now says her name (which actually comes out sounding like Mayhee but she's learning really well) and her new favorite phrase is, "Baby, don't cry." She loves to sing and sings all sorts of songs. She is also branching out in her tv shows. It doesn't just have to be sesame street anymore but now loves to watch Caillou and some of the newer disney movies too.

Rain, Rain, Go Away

One Month

Sydney turned one month old yesterday. We had a little photo shoot for her but as you'll see, she wasn't too cooperative. I guess it is the age.

This is what she thought of me taking pictures.
At least until she had her binky. (I'm excited that she is starting to take other binkies besides the ugly green ones. That's a plus.)

The only one I got of her whole body. I love her skinny little legs.

Sydney is doing great. She is having kind of a rough time at night right now. She usually goes to bed between midnight and one and is up at least twice but usually more. Macy loves her baby sister and is a great helper.

Sydney's Birth Announcement

Because it's impossible to send one to everyone, I thought I'd share it here. We're happy to have our little Sydney here with us and wanted to share her cuteness.

A Weekend Of Firsts

Sydney had an exciting weekend.  First of all, she made her first long car trip to Wenatchee. (We made our monthly trip to go shopping.)  While we were doing our shopping, we decided to give the stroller and go (even though she is still really little). Both girls were really good and enjoyed their ride through the mall.

Sydney and Macy also took their first bath together. We were a little weary about Macy's rambutiousness in the bath but she was a great sister and wanted to help little sissy out. She kept saying "I nice." (It's her favorite phrase for when she thinks she is helping us out. It's really cute.)

Then to finish off the weekend, we took Sydney to church for the first time. She was great. Sure, she was a little noisy during Primary but nobody really minds when it comes from a sweet little girl.
