Staph Infection

Macy came in the other day worried about a little bump on her leg.  We looked and figured it was a little rash from not staying clean enough.  A few days later it started spreading and spreading and spreading.  Soon enough we ended up in the doctor's office because it has spread down both of her legs. The doctor took one look at her and said it was some sort of staph infection.  She started on super strong antibiotics, very unwillingly I might add, and seemed to be improving.  That's when we started noticing a little on Syd's wrist and then the massive one in her hair.  After three doses of antibiotics, two for Macy and one for Syd, as well as antibiotic cream to treat the residuals we were finally lesion free.  Another one of our extremely random sicknesses for the year. I have no idea where it came from and still feel like we are hygienic people, we take good care of our kids, yet why in the world do our kids keep getting the weirdest sicknesses.

CupCake Wars

Syd has been asking for days to make cupcakes. She must be feeling better or we must be watching too many cupcake wars lately.

Never-ending Fever

Tough Syd had her first blood draw this morning and was a champ through the whole thing.  I don't know why but she seems to be the one who is always sick and stays sick.  This time she has had a fever for over a week and a nasty rash to keep up with it.  Poor kid.

Phoenix Zoo

We are lovin' the weather right now and what better way to enjoy than to go see the animals at the zoo.  Macy and especially Sydney love acting out the different animals and their sounds.  They'd fit right in at the zoo. Every time we stopped to look at a different animals, Syd pulled out her cheese face and wanted us to take a million different pictures.
 We saw the turtles
 and the new baby gorillas
the komodo dragon (a sydney favorite)

and the sting rays.  The girls love to learn and we love our pogo passes that let us visit so many different fun places.

Joseph and The TechniColor Dream Coat

Tim has some pretty awesome team members that he works with.  The office in Mesa, Mark Anthony Dental, took his whole dental team out to dinner and to a show at Gammage.  The show was fantastically done and we enjoyed a great night out.

We followed up the night with amazing pizzokies from the Hot Cookie Truck and this awesome melt in your mouth ice cream.

Camelback Mountain

It seems as if all our plans keep falling apart on us.  Probably poor planning on our part but after not being able to go to the cabin this week due to snow, we ended up hiking up Camelback Mountain (or Macy mountain as it is often called in our house).  Or at least part of it anyways.  The view was spectacular even though it was a bit rocky and steep.  Macy was quite the champ and hiked the whole way up herself.  Sydney needed a bunch of help with her unstableness but did a great job climbing up and down the mountain.  Maybe next time we'll make it to the top.

Sunbeam

She's so excited to be a sunbeam this year!
