Arizona Rattlers

We like introducing the girls to new forms of culture when we can.  This time, we spent the evening at US Airways Arena watching the Arizona Rattlers, in arena football.  Arena Football is much more exciting than watching college or NFL football because they literally score every play.  The field is much smaller and there is something constantly happening.  The girls loved watching yet constantly complained that it was way TOO LOUD.  I would have to agree the music was blaring and the canon after every touchdown was super intense.  Thanks Pogo Pass for helping us bring culture to our kids.

Wet N' Wild

Friday night Wet n' Wild thanks to Canyon Ridge Endo. Love the little kid slide in the middle of the park. It's perfect for the girls too bad it's on the other side of town.

Potty Training

Kensie has been showing a little interest in the potty over the last few weeks and asks to go on the big girl potty but has never actually gone.  So, we decided to bite the bullet and take away the diapers.  Monday was a rough day full of at least as many accidents as success but since convincing her of the privileges of a big girl (specifically that she gets to play with Brynlee), she has taken off.  The stickers and treats are asked for constantly and I think she appreciates the stickers almost more than the M&Ms. She is so stinkin' smart that it shouldn't surprise me at all that she needed to decide to do it.  She's rocked it ever since and even went poop in the potty last night with our babysitter (only to have Bailey proceed to eat it while they were wiping her bum).  Poor Bri.

Makeup

It's a good thing their dad caught them in the act tonight instead of mom.

I'm not quite sure where their obsession has come from but I'm constantly finding my makeup hidden in random places in the house.  Lipstick in Kensie's room and eye shadow in the playroom.  I'm glad they like to dress up but it would sure be nice to not get to clean it up afterwards.

First Day of Second Grade

It's just another first day of school for this big second grader; although, she was excited to be able to help Sydney ride the bus home and make sure that she got to her class okay.  It was adorable as Macy kept telling Syd that they were going to rock it.

First Day of Kindergarten

Sydney has been asking all summer for school to start.  She's been dying to be able to go to Ishikawa with Macy and is so excited that the day is finally here for her to start Kindergarten.

Coronado

One of our favorite weeks of the year is spent in Coronado.  The girls love the sand, the beach, the ocean, and the quiet quaint atmosphere of Coronado Island.  A major sand castle is a must every year and their octopus took the cake.  The kids had a blast with their cousins and hanging with their aunts and uncles.
