Halloween

This was really the first year that the girl's have gone trick or treating door to door and we were so excited to be able to enjoy our new little neighborhood and to party with the plethora of kids around.  We started with a little block party in the cul-de-sac to meet the new neighbors and there were kids everywhere. It was fun!

Bat girl had a fun week wearing her costume to dance class, preschool, and then also to go trick or treating. She was so excited and loved wearing it!
Wen had a yummy lunch of pumpkin poop, mummy dogs, ghost cheese, and grape eyeballs... topped off with a little zombie blood. Delicious!

Sydo on the other hand had a difficult time wearing her costume and refused to wear her mask at all.  She still made a cute little side kick for batgirl as Robin.
Batgirl and Robin ready to go trick or treating!

Robin is full of all sorts of faces right now and a smile just isn't one of them.

Macy ran off with one of her friends as soon as Tim joined us at the block party and was so fast that we struggled to keep up with her and Ellie. Syd and her little friend Gracie took their time and strolled along trick or treating from the stroller. These girls got loaded up with candy as each house gave them handfuls.
Happy Halloween from BatGirl and Robin!

Preschool Halloween

Macy was so excited to be able to wear her costume to preschool.  All of the kids looked great and Macy had a blast at her little preschool party.  She got to bring yummy cupcakes and loved passing out bags of pumpkin poop to her classmates.

Carving Pumpkins

Cami, Justin, and Hunter came over tonight to have a little pumpkin Halloween celebration.  Halloween has been creeping up on us and we didn't realize that halloween is next week.

Sydney got a little excited over the jack-o-lantern that Tim carved.
And Macy's pumpkin was really hard and dense, so Tim came up with the new and improved way to carve by drilling a face into the pumpkin with a drill bit.

 The pumpkin carving gang.

Hunter and Sydney love to play together and spent a lot of the evening pushing each other around in this little stroller.  Crazy, silly kids.

A Little Patch of Grass

After months and months of dirt, and dirt, and more dirt in the backyard, we decided that we could put in a patch of about 400 sq ft of grass in the yard to create a little play place for the girls.

The girls spent about three hours with us last night digging up rocks and leveling out the ground, getting it ready for us to lay down the sod.
The girls still have plenty of dirt to play in but will also have a nice grass patch in a few weeks.
We picked up 40 rolls of sod from Lowes and stuffed them in the back of our car.
and we love being able to sit out on the patio and look at something green.  Hurrah for our little patch of heaven.

Mother Nature's Pumpkin Farm

Grandpa and Grandma Peggy took us to the Pumpkin Patch to celebrate the fall season. We were joined by Mike and Jill and their kids and Kelsey and Reagan. Poor Matt had to study yet again.
As soon as we got there Macy and Syd ran off to play with their cousins Lucy and Ivy.

The cousins all pretended to be different animals from the farm and then went on to feed and pet them.  They even met, Kelsey the Cow.

The kids loved petting the animals and feeding them a bunch of carrots.

We took a little hay ride with the whole gang.

 Macy and Ivy.
After our hayride, the girls picked out a pumpkin and proceeded to decorate them all with stickers.

They were quite beautiful when they were all done.

Thanks Grandpa and Peggy for a fun halloween party.

Crazy Kids

After spending all week with their cousins, the girls still can't get enough.  We invited everyone (Matt, Kelsey, Mike, Jill, Grandpa, and Peggy, Nate, Elisabeth, and all the grandkids) over for dinner Sunday night before Nate and Elisabeth left to go home. We had a blast playing maffia and hanging out together.  The girls are in heaven and i don't think we saw much of them the whole night except to find them hiding in the game closet, pretending that they once again had bunk beds...
and to find out that Syd had helped herself go to the bathroom and came out without panties on and her shorts on backwards.  We all ahd a good laugh over her breezy choice of pants.

Family Dinner

Mike and Jill were great hosts and invited all of us over for dinner and gelato at their house Friday Night.  We had fun playing with all of the kiddos and enjoy some delicious gelato to finish off the night with the whole gang.

Paul & Sheri's Wedding

We're so excited for a new sister and niece and nephew to join the family. We had a very busy week with the wedding, family fun, bachelor party, bridal shower, and wedding dinner but we enjoyed spending every minute with family.

So happy for the couple!  They look great and the ceremony was fantastic.
I was afraid to put the girl's dresses on until we got to the actual ceremony so they turned into daddy's girls and wore his shirts for the drive to the wedding.

Our little contribution to the wedding. We helped Paul put together this sign the week of to be displayed at the entrance to the wedding.
Not the best picture but we had fun in the photo booth during the reception afterwards.
Four of the cousins. We call them Maluvaney for Macy, Lucy, Ivy, and Sydney. They're pretty inseparable.
Tim had fun trying to get some cute pictures of the girls.  Macy has been very photogenic and posing lately but Syd is a whole nother ball game.
