Memorial Weekend

We had a weekend full of fun and excitement. With twenty people staying in our house, we tried to stay busy yet organized at the same time. It was a great time to have company in town with the Moses Lake Spring Festival, there were a bunch of activities going on downtown.
Our fun started in Tri-Cities when Jim, Rosalyn, and Sarah flew in. We made a quick visit to the Columbia River Temple and did a bit of grocery shopping before heading back to Moses Lake.
The Spring Festival was a great way to spend our Saturday. We spent our time strolling the streets of downtown with a car show, coloring 3rd with chalk, visiting the farmer's market, listening to Vocal Trash in the amphitheater, and finished off the night with the moonlight parade. It was an interesting parade with a bout of E.coli going around for the horses and every horse drawn float was driven with a truck or tractor instead.

Macy had so much fun with her aunts, uncles, grammies, two papa's, and her cousin. Macy kept saying all weekend one papa, two papas and they had a blast playing with her. Sydney was also in heaven with two grammies around.  She was held and pampered all weekend long but the best news of all was that with all the pampering and twenty people in the house she decided that it was a great time to start sleeping through the night. She slept almost eight hours every night while we had company and last night too. I'm hoping it wasn't a fluke.

At the farmer's market, I ran into one of my friends and had to have a picture because we were wearing the same shirt. Opps!
And last but not least, another picture of Macy because she's cute!
We are so thankful that our families could join us on this special weekend and can't thank them enough for being with us. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!

Sydney's Baby Blessing

We had the opportunity to bless our little Sydney this past weekend. Syd was blessed by Tim and we were excited to have lots of family with us to stand in the circle with him and celebrate this special time with us.
Jim, Rosalyn and Sarah; Courtney, Mike and Connor Hokanson; Arlin, Susan, Jessica, Ashley, Kaytlen, Taylor, Parker, Jennifer, and Madison.
Macy was a very happy girl and loved having lots of family to play with.

Macy wasn't being very cooperative with pictures and Syd had about had it by this point.

Strawberry Girls!

After FHE tonight, Macy, Halie, and Olivia were running around and eating strawberries. They stopped only long enough for us to get a picture of the three!

Silly Macy

With all the posts about Sydney lately, I figured Macy needed one of her own. Macy has been a sweetheart with her little sister. She loves to call her baby although she does attempt to say Sydney (doesn't come out sounding like a very good word). Macy loves to get her binky for her and give her kisses and hugs. Macy's favorite phrase is definitely, "Baby, Don't Cry!"

Macy is getting so big! I can't believe it. She loves to talk and now says two or three words together. She is great at saying Please, Thank you, and even I'm Sorry now. Her other phrase is "I'm pretty, Baby's pretty, and Mommy's pretty!" It's so sweet.

Macy can open the fridge, which is good most of the time. She loves to get her own drink out and brings me most things that she wants now. She likes to point to things and say what they are as well... specifically "Baby's juice" pointing to the formula and "Macy's juice"
pointing to the apple juice.

When i'm busy taking care of Sydney, I find Macy up to all kinds of trouble. This is just one instance of what she entertained herself with, while I was feeding Sydney. I don't where she gets the ideas but this is her timeout chair that she decided to use as a slide. I'm still trying to figure out what she was doing with her mouth. I'm thinking that she is trying to give me a kiss but it could be her mouth is full of water, either way She's still CUTE!

2 Months!

Sydney just turned 2 months and is as cute as ever!

She likes to pose as superman
loves to just lay on her back
and her tummy is even better
Although, she gets sad when we leave her by herself for even a minute
 but eventually
she decides to just eat her hands and arms. Yum!
Our little girl is growing up so fast.

- She sleeps from 10 to 4, eats, and then goes back to sleep until 8.
- She is still a cat napper and occasionally takes a really good three to four hour nap (usually for Tim when I'm not around.)
- She hates having the sun in her eyes.
- She wears 0-3 month clothes.
- She sleeps best for naps when she is being held.
- Loves to be in the Baby Bjorne.
- LOVES her binky. (Macy didn't really take hers until she was eight or nine months old)
- She is definitely a mommy's girl. She immediately settles down most of the time when I take her.

I feel like our little Sydney is still fairly little. Maybe I just don't remember what size Macy was at this age but I'm enjoying all the time I get to sit and hold my little Sydney and being a mom of these two little munchkins.

Woodys Challenge

The challenge: 16 oz of beef, 12 slices of bacon, 8 onion rings, and 4 slices of cheese stacked some six inches high  between two sesame seed buns.

Participants: Tim, Elder Grenko, Elder Bull, and Taylor Peterson.

The natural mechanics of food consumption may dictate that this burger can not be eaten, but we did it... each of us.

 The cheerleader: Macy

Smiley

Syd has been full of smiles this morning. So, just a little something to brighten your day.

Boise Trip

While Tim headed to San Jose, California for Matt's Wedding this past weekend... The girls and I made the trip to Boise. We first decided to go because Ashley thought she would have a ticket to Wicked Thursday night but that ended up not working out. I wasn't going to make the trip by myself but Ashley drove with me and then came back for her car. It made for a much easier trip then trying to take a six-week-old and Macy by myself.

Macy started out Thursday with a fever and it continued for the whole trip. :) (And even though her fever is gone now... she woke up yesterday morning with a cold. :( Yuck!) I didn't get much  sleep between Macy waking up and getting in bed with me and then again with Syd still waking up a few times a night, but at least I had helpers during the day to make the weekend go by quicker. Sydney was a trooper in the car but still had to eat at least once each way.

Macy spent Friday with Kaytlen and Parker at the zoo and loved following papa around at his carnival Friday night while I went with my mom to Jennifer's soccer game. Jennifer did a great job and ended up tieing 5:5 so that both teems were undefeated. (This was the only team that they didn't beat in the previous years). Saturday morning we went to a baby shower for my cousin and then headed home.

Sydney learned how to hold her bottle by herself... or at least did it once.
Macy loves my parents backyard. Between the swings, the trampoline, and the slide she is in heaven.
Sydney gave off some really great smiles
Macy wanted to watch TV way UP Close.
For Kimi's baby shower, Ashley did a nice little nursery rhyme theme. For part of the theme, she filled this tub up for THree Men In A Tub. It was the perfect size for Sydney to sit in. Isn't she adorable in her new sunglasses?
These are a few of the pictures that Kaytlen, Parker, and Macy took at the zoo.

At the baby shower, Sydney got to meet a lot of my extended family. She spent a nice quiet nap in Grandma Jones' arms.
Macy and grammy Suzie at the baby shower.

Lunch With Ashley

Ashley stayed with me while Tim was gone at his grandma's funeral and decided to stay for a week. We had a lot of fun. This was just one of the few days that Tim was home (after the funeral but before he headed out for Matt's wedding). We went to lunch at Michael's On the Lake (one of our favorite places in town to eat).

Macy and Ashley. Macy decided that she wanted to be a big girl and sit in a regular chair instead of the high chair or in a booster. Thus, she ended up sitting on almost everyone's lap instead of staying in her chair.

Syd had a good nap on Tim's lap while we ate.
