Skateland

Tim's office gave us some awesome Team Schmidt and Team Nielson shirts for Christmas this year with matching sweat bands and t-shirts to compete at Skateland.  We decided to rock the old school Skateland to make sure our competitive skills were up to par.  The girls had a blast and even little Kenso seriously enjoyed herself.  Syd's skills leave a little to be desired but with the help of a little walker, she could keep up with the best of them. 

 Macy was an old pro with her new Christmas present, roller blades!

Snow at the Cabin

With the cabin renovations still underway, we took a quick trip to play in the snow and check on the progress.  Although the doors aren't in yet the walls were covered with sheet rock and we were able to see the makings of what will be (in a  very cold way).  To tide off the cooler weather inside, we brought out our little camping stove and used it to heat up some hot cocoa after getting our fill of sliding down the mini hill in the field.

Ashley & Jake's Wedding

So happy for Ashley and Jake and their choice to be sealed in the Bountiful Temple this past weekend.  I took a quick trip by myself to visit the cold snowy country and just about froze.  The snow was gorgeous and such a great time to visit Salt Lake.  We had a great time at the temple, visiting the temple lights, and visiting with my family.

 We've heard so much about swig cookies and have found a great copycat recipe (which we in fact actually like better at this point) and had to try the real thing.

Finished off our busy day with the grand opening of the new Sodalicious in Mesa and some 12-12 donuts from Krispy Kreme for talk like a pirate day.

LifeSmiles Dental Care Christmas Party

We hosted the Lifesmiles Christmas party this year and made an ultra-memorable time. This year after eating at Herb Box we headed to our house for party/gifts/goodies. Brittany and I put together a Family Feud game and I played the role of host. Top questions were "What was the most common procedure of the year" and "Name some Schmidt-Nielson similarities". I think the girls were most excited about their gift... a new purse. I walked out of the Kate Spade with my arms draped in 16 bags/purses... we made quite a scene at the store.

Christmas Shopping

Another failed shopping trip. We didn't even make it in the second set of doors at the store.  I guess it's time for online christmas shopping. 

Ward Christmas Party

Happy 7th Birthday Macy

Happy 7th Birthday to our big 1st grader.  Macy is sweet, kind, and extremely smart.  She loves anything about Paris and would love to go there one day.  The Eiffel Tower is talked about all the time at our house. She plays the piano and is currently dancing 4 hours a week on the Moxie preforming team.  Macy has a lot of friends and loves to play with all of them.
