New Moon

The moment I have been waiting for for almost a year now came this past weekend!

NEW MOON!

It was definitely worth the wait. Here are a few of my thoughts on the movie:

  • Oddly enough, the Vulturi was my favorite. They were exactly how I pictured them in the book.
  • You can tell the budget was better and in so, the special effects made a big difference. The movie actually flowed this time instead of being choppy and rough.
  • Bella did a much better job acting. She seemed genuine in this movie and there was definitely more chemistry between her and Edward. I loved how dangerous she was, living on the edge just to get a glimpse of her love (maybe I should try cliff-jumping).
  • Alice was gorgeous as ever! Her outfits are always so put together.
  • Jacob... I know he is only sixteen or whatever, but those abs...and the hair cut really did it for him. mmmmmm.... abs....
  • The ending... leaving you hanging, wonder what Bella will do.

I am amazed as how well the movie turned out. It was so fun to go with our dear friends, Calie, Anthony, and Tyler and in fact it was the latest that Tim and I have stayed out since we got married. We didn't get home until almost 2:00 a.m. Most of all, I can't wait until June when Eclipse comes out. Here are some of the pictures of our fun night:

Humm... I wonder if this movie is going to be any good? - Tim

          Besties!

I'm glad that Tim went with me. He even enjoyed himself.

        Vendor Fair

Tonight was our last vendor fair (A chance for all of the dental students to get wooed over and get a whole bunch of free stuff). Tim was so excited because it was a chance to win big (They do a raffle for some great prizes such as ipods and gift cards). He was so sure that he was going to have good luck but once again his luck failed him. Although, he didn't win we still came home with enough tooth brushes to last us all year.

The dental students and their little prodigies.

        Chicken Nuggets

Eating Chicken Nuggets is one of the delights of childhood and Macy has finally enjoyed the yumminess. We stopped at Wendy's this past weekend on our way to Moses Lake and thought what could this little girl possibly eat when suddenly the thought popped into my head... Chicken Nuggets.

The look on her face is priceless. Although not so sure to begin with she was sure excited to try.

        Is this bite too big?

        Nah... Just right.

        Moses Lake, Washington

With graduation just a few months away it is time to think about real jobs as a real dentist. Macy and I went with Tim to his interview in a little town in Central Washington called Moses Lake. The interview went well and Tim really likes the Clinic. The town seems cute, fun, and safe but kinda small with only 20,000 people. My biggest reservation is that there is no good shopping in town and the closest Mall and Costco is over an hour away. Overall, we feel pretty good about it and look forward to hearing back from them in a few weeks.

Tim all ready for his interview at the Mose Lake Community Health Center.

The variety of fun places in Moses Lake.

It is a really cute town with wreaths on the light posts and christmas lights during the Holidays. The town doesn't have too many chain restaurants like we are used to but it makes up for it with little mom and pop places like The FireFly Cafe (the cook makes her own croissants and soup every day. Delicious!). The town is really family friendly. The clinic arranged for us to take a tour of the town with a realtor. There are some great neighborhoods and reasonable housing. The church is really strong there as well.

Macy being her silly self. She thought it was hilarious that she could climb into my suitcase.

        Check Out Her Moves....

We took this little gem this morning. It was so fun to watch her move. We hope you like it as much as we do.

        More Exciting News---

Tim just got his board scores back (the big test that he took 2-1/2 weeks ago) and he....

Passed! Wahooo.... He scored above average in all the sections except Oral Surgery. Good work Tim.

        11 months

My little girl is growing up so fast! Macy turned 11 months old today. Here is a little bit about her:

She loves to stand up to things and walk holding your hands. She doesn't like to let go so it may be a little while before she is walking on her own.

She takes two good naps a day.

She still loves the bath tub. Perhaps her favorite time of the day.

She likes to eat real food. Strawberries are her favorite and she eats cheerios by the handful but macaroni and cheese comes in close second.

She has to have whatever I have whether it is the remote control, computer, cell phone, or car keys.

She is very talkative and loves to laugh. She thinks its hilarious if you dance like a crazy person in front of her.

She has to have her pacifier all the time now. (It started almost two months ago.)
        She has seven teeth.
She is to tall for size 12 month pants and onesies are way out of the question.

        Halloween Galore

Our halloween adventures kept us busy all week:

Pumpkin carving with Roas and Saunders has been a four year tradition. Like always, it involved staying up late waiting for Tyler to finish his jack-0-lantern masterpiece. It was Janet's (Calie's Mom) first halloween, but she was a natural carver, listening to all of the "cardinal rules" that Tim made up for her (size of pumpkin's opening must be larger that your fist... detailed cuts must be angled to let out the light).

Since I'm part of the party-planning committee at church, I got to spend most of Friday putting up spider webs and making party favors. Tim and Macy joined the ward party later in their punker costumes and went trunk-or-treating.

The zoo had a Halloween Bash. We got the kids in their costumes and met up with Doty's and Mecham's for some trick or treating fun with the animals.

On Saturday we had a Halloween party at Roa's house with all the dental school couples (and kids of course). We got there a bit early to take Macy trick-or-treating (another haloween first). All the kids were super cute in their costumes, but the Tim/Macy Punker costumes were the best (they each won a best costume award). They had matching black moehawks, torn-up black clothes, dark emo eyes (I can't believe Macy let him put the eye-liner on), and Tim even had a lip ring. I was pretty excited about my costume as well: I pieced together my Flapper costume from friends, Goodwill, and a few homemade nick-nacks.
